JobDeca, a success from day one: over 2,200 DeCA documents in the first three days of the new regulation
On 5 October 2026 the electronic DeCA became compulsory in Spain. That very day, the companies working with JobDeca issued 671 transport control documents, and after three days the total is already over 2,200. Figures, screenshots and all the improvements our customers have contributed.
On Monday 5 October 2026 the electronic DeCA became compulsory for the public carriage of goods by road in Spain. It was the date we had spent months preparing for, and JobDeca rose to the occasion from the very first hour: that same day, the companies working with it issued 671 transport control documents, each with its native PDF and its QR code ready for inspection.
The figures for the first three days
| Day | DeCA issued |
|---|---|
| Monday 5 October — first compulsory day | 671 |
| Tuesday 6 October | 790 |
| Wednesday 7 October (up to 3 pm) | 775 |
| Total for the first three days | 2,236 |
Adding the September pilot phase, when several customers began issuing documents before it was compulsory so as to reach the 5th with everything running smoothly, JobDeca has already generated 2,661 transport control documents.
Behind those numbers are building materials merchants, ceramics manufacturers, distributors and haulage companies who, from day one, comply with the new regulation with no paperwork, no queues at the loading bay and no change to the way they work.

Why it has worked from day one
Because every company issues the DeCA in the way that suits it best, and JobDeca adapts to that, not the other way round:
- Straight from their ERP. The delivery note is recorded as usual and the DeCA is issued on its own — via the API, via a file the ERP drops every few minutes, or via the PDF mailbox. This is the route for the highest-volume companies: they don’t have to touch a thing.
- At the loading bay, by lorry. When the delivery note goes out without a number plate, it stays pending. When the lorry arrives, the number plate is entered once and all its DeCA documents are issued, together with the loading sheet for the driver.
- By hand, in a minute, for those who issue just a few a day — from a mobile too.
- The carrier, from their mobile: they see their DeCA documents, receive them instantly by email and can record a change of lorry while on the road.

A product built with our customers
What makes us proudest about these days isn’t just the figures: it’s how much our customers have contributed. Since JobDeca came into daily use we have released nine versions in a week, nearly all of them born from what people were asking for at the loading bays and in the offices:
- Loading sheets per lorry, to print one for the driver or send it to the carrier.
- Reason for cancellation, so there’s a written record of why a shipment didn’t go out.
- Multi-line goods and the gross weight labelled as the regulation requires.
- Duplicate a DeCA, so you don’t have to type out a near-identical one again.
- Automatic sending of the DeCA to the carrier as soon as it is issued.
- The company logo inside the QR code, after first checking that it still scans correctly.
- The carrier portal, with a summary of their DeCA documents and templates for recurring journeys.
- WhatsApp-proof invitations: the link no longer expires when it is forwarded.
- And already on the way: goods detail by item, with quantities, units and weights.

Every customer suggestion has ended up improving the product for everyone. Thank you all for your trust and for every idea: you are part of this result.
Complying with the regulation, without the hassle
The DeCA is no minor formality: without it, both shipper and carrier are exposed to the transport penalty regime, and the inspectorate can immobilise the vehicle. JobDeca handles it end to end:
- A digitally generated native PDF with its QR code, pointing to a unique, secure address that the inspectorate opens with no username or password.
- Retention for at least one year, as the regulation requires, for both shipper and carrier.
- Traceable corrections: if anything changes, a new version is issued and the old QR code leads to the current one.
