JobMat, Jobers' next launch: the new version of our ERP, almost ready
After a year building the shared pieces of our whole family of applications, Jobers has its next launch almost ready: JobMat, the new web version of our ERP. We show you what it is like, what makes it different and some of its screens.
At Jobers we have spent more than twenty years building the ERP for many building materials, ceramics and distribution merchants. That ERP works and invoices every day in dozens of companies. And we already have in the oven the biggest step since we started: our next launch, JobMat, the new version of our ERP, 100% web, which is almost ready.
It is not a new screen on top of the classic ERP. It is a different program, built with everything we have learnt over the years. And we started it from the foundations.
First, the foundations: the shared pieces
Before writing a single JobMat screen, we spent a year building the pieces shared by all our applications: JobFinan, JobCRM, JobersDoc, JobIADoc, JobDeca, JobRutas… Each of them already uses these pieces, and JobMat is born with all of them in place:
Whatever improves in one piece reaches every application at once. So JobMat does not start from scratch: it starts with a year of work already proven in production.
Moving to JobMat: no data migration and no sudden switch
Changing ERP is daunting, and rightly so: it holds all of the company’s information. That is why JobMat is designed to make the move as smooth as possible:
In other words: there is no switch-over day, no migration weekends and no data to move from one program to another. Moving to the new web ERP is as harmless as starting to use it.
For customers of the classic ERP, the day JobMat comes out will simply be that: starting to use the new web ERP.
What it looks like: the supplier record
An example of what changes. In the classic ERP, a supplier record was just its data. In JobMat, its situation comes before its data: how much we buy from it, how its prices evolve, how much of its stock we hold in the warehouse and how we rate it.

Dashboard of a sample supplier. The data has been changed.
At a glance you can see whether we buy more or less than last year, which families and products weigh most, what share of our sales comes from its products and at what margin, and where it ranks against the other suppliers.

Below, its price trend by family, its stock valued at cost and its quality rating.
There are two details we especially like:
- The price index compares each item with itself, so you can see straight away whether a supplier has raised prices even if what we buy from it changes.
- The idle stock warning: items we hold in the warehouse that have not been bought again in a year. It is money standing still that nobody was looking at.
JobFinan, the financial side, already running
The financial side of the family, JobFinan, is already in production at several customers. It is the same way of doing things: the important figure first, and well presented.
